OCTOBER 11-16, 2022

ABRONS ARTS CENTER, EXPERIMENTAL THEATER

466 Grand St, New York, NY 10002

Various showtimes

OTR is thrilled to be presenting five works of theater featuring the OnTheRoad Repertory Company ensemble in our first festival from October 11th-16th, 2022 at the Experimental Theater at Abrons Arts Center. The works we are presenting were developed with our late artistic director Alice Spivak, and continued in her honor by the ensemble she built.

The OTR Fall Festival celebrates the ongoing work of this company, which has devoted itself to keeping alive Alice’s Spivak’s memory and legacy and to continuing the philosophy of Alice Spivak’s work and her approach to theater and acting. An approach that is organic and places a real focus on the material.

Individual and weekly tickets available.

OnTheRoad Repertory is now hosting in-person scene study in New York City. Our scene study group is open to professional-level actors, with a focus on scenes from theater works. Our process for preparing scenes relies on the rehearsal process developed by our late founder and artistic director, Alice Spivak.

Scene Study terms last 8 weeks, and sessions take place on Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30pm. These sessions are moderated by OTR Members.

Celebrating the wonderful life of

Alice Spivak

Thank you to all who attended, supported, sent their wishes and remembrances to our celebration of Alice Spivak's life on August 11th, 2021. Alice's Memorial was a beautiful event, and her community was felt both near and far. We wanted to share a small piece of it with you today, a video tribute made by Bradley Ross of Manhattan Productions featuring Alice in her own words.

The memorial event on August 11th honoring Alice's memory was only possible because of your extraordinary generosity. And the only way we'll be able to see her work carried forward is with your continued support.
